Hog Island with the girls

Fun day with a few of my closest friends here in Grenada! The beginning of the trail to Hog Island is pretty close to our house. We hiked for about 4 hours, lets just say we were a bit sweaty when we were done!! Vera had a blast and was a pretty good listener. There were horses on the trail this time and the other times I have gone there was not, so Vera was of course interested in them :) we hiked some on the trail and some a little off the trail! We are going again next week!

Kylie

Kylie Update....

The Drs explained to Cindy that Kylie has Gorlin Syndrome.  Basically it sounds like this is going to be a lifelong battle for her. Cindy said the Drs spoke with her about a 5 year life span expectancy and her response was that God is in control and her baby is a fighter. Please keep this sweet girl in your thoughts and prayers! Her last radiation treatment is on the 10th. She will then have her first round of chemo there before coming home, but we still do not have that date yet. Please keep Kylie and Cindy in your prayers!!!

Sweet Vera Lynn

This little girl can be a pain but I love her so much! She is always bringing a smile to our faces! And she has come a long way since finding her!

another ticket....

My friend Emily and I went into town the other day to go to the market for some fresh fruit and veggies (much cheaper than the grocery store). On our way out of town we were "pulled over" by a police officer standing on the side of the road, he proceeded to ask me if I have looked at my tires lately...... ummmm, yeah I guess (I was  a little confused) ...... Well he had me get out of the car to look at my left front tire to tell me it was getting too bald and that I was getting a ticket for it because it is illegal to drive around like that in Grenada....  I love Grenada but yeah, thats all ill say about that....

One Perfect Night

On Feb 4th, Michael and I have been married a WHOLE 6 MONTHS!!!! I know, SO long :) well as you know, on that day Michael made me breakfast and we spent the morning together, he also told me that on sat(the 9th) I needed to keep my night open and that he got a puppy sitter for Vera because we were spending the night somewhere but he wouldn't give me many details!  So, sat came around and we packed a bag for the night and dropped Vera off.   We ended up at a place called Mount Hartman, it is a small hotel with about 8 guest rooms and a fancy restaurant called the Cave!  This place was beautiful! Our room was sooo romantic!

We got settled in and then went upstairs for a drink, I started the night off with a pina colada and Mic a mojito! we sat outside with a beautiful view! This place was so peaceful!

We wandered around a bit, took a few photos, and then went back to the room to relax and get ready for the night! Dinner was great, the atmosphere was amazing, our room was beautiful and the company was perfect! I could tell Michael was not thinking about school, studying or anything else, he just in the moment; I had my husband back, like REALLY back for one night <3

In the morning we slept in, Michael pulled the curtains to the windows and I was still in the princess bed (lol) with the drapes down, it was so pretty! We headed upstairs for breakfast then down to the infinity pool, where we relaxed for a few hours.

After picking up Vera we ended the night by making homemade pretzels!
I'd say it was a pretty amazing 6 month-Valentine celebration!

Lazy Day

Thanks to one of my amazing clients, I'm reading her book and having a very lazy day with the pup! I'm over halfway done and I started yesterday!! I don't know if I have EVER read a book for fun!
Two relaxing days in a row, yesterday I woke up to flowers Michael picked for me, as we were celebrating our first 6 months as a married couple!! He came home after one class to make us an amazing breakfast of French toast, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and fresh cut up fruit!! It was so nice to spend the morning with him! He hung around for a couple hours then headed back to campus for his studies! After he was back late for a quick dinner he studied some more and we laid in bed with the pup watching some wild hockey! He told me to keep sat night open for Valentines day plans and the pup has a sitter!! He won't tell me where or what we're doing!! :)

Mina

We have been calling Vera "little head" as a nick name because her head is so small compared to her body. But we found that the Indian name is Mina, so Vera's new nick name is Mina meaning small head!! Hahahahah!!
