It all happened so fast.
One minute we are so happy Unexplainabley in love and fine with dating for a while longer before talking about getting married having a family all that blah blah blah stuff..... The next minute it just hit us like a ton of bricks.
I remember telling a friend " I would marry Michael tomorrow, I dont know what it is but im ready to marry this guy". If anyone knows me well, im not one to jump into relationships, let alone MARRIAGE! Well it just so happened the same weekend I said this to a friend was the exact weekend Michael chose to ask my father for his permission......... CRAZY!!!!!
A couple weeks later we were going to Florida for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday and spend some time alone, on the beach relaxing! The day before we left Michael got a call he was accepted into St.Georges Medical School, this meant many things for us!!!
While we were in Florida we stayed at my aunt and uncle's condo, which is beautiful! I always told Michael I would not want to be proposed to on my birthday or other holidays. I was so close to going through his bag to see if there was a ring (which I did not even know if he had one) and I had no idea he asked my dad so I figured I better not look because I was just hoping something he was not ready for. Michael always told me I would know when he is ready.....
Long story short Michael proposed the morning after my birthday (May 5th, not cinco de mayo)! I was shocked!!!!!
Now we were engaged and thinking about moving across the country for Michael to follow his dreams of becoming a doctor and wondering if we had the time and energy to plan a wedding and move out of the country in THREE MONTHS!!!!!! Lets just say we did a lot of praying and with much help from our amazing family and friends we pulled it off and had an amazing wedding on August 4th, 2012!
