Our First Anniversary..... Crazy!!! Some days it feels like we got married yesterday other times it feels like we have been married forever! On our actual anniversary we spent the day together. Michael made breakfast, we went to church, then packed lunches to go to a new beach (for Michael) LaSagesse, we heard you could rent kayaks, so we thought that would be fun!
We took the Kayak's out and managed to flip the kayaks a couple times, we were in some rougher waves and tipped! The water was nice and warm but it was not very deep so we ended up stepping on some black sea urchins (which get stuck in your feet when you step on them)......
This is the top View of the beach we were at, when we fell in we were over on the top right where you see it gets kinds rough! Haha, all bumps and bruises but we had fun! After we spent a little time on the beach, cleaning each other up, we had a picnic lunch and went for a swim, then headed home to get cleaned up for dinner!
Michael made reservations at LaLuna for dinner. This is where we spent our "mini honeymoon"!
Dinner was fantastic, after dinner Michael snuck in a bottle of Champagne and we sat by the beach and chatted all night <3
One of the little sand messages I got from Mic that day :)
Our anniversary was on a Sunday and Michael had 3rd term finals that week so we decided after finals we wanted to check out the other Grenadian Island, Carriacou! So friday after finals we flew over! It was only a 20min flight, in a 8 seater plane. It was pretty cool! The views were awesome!!
Thats Carriacou!
On the landing......
Friday night we rented a car, got settled in and went to dinner at this really cool restaurant called the Round House, we knew why it was called that once we got there, it was literally round!
It was really unique and the food was great! Our waitress, was our bartender and the chef!
Saturday we had the car still so we did a little island tour... some of the roads were pretty interesting!
But the Views were unbelievable!!!
We ended up going back to Round House for dinner that night because we enjoyed it so much and it there was not much open because most people were up in Grenada celebrating Carnival.
Sunday we went on a private boat tour to the Tabago Cays and a few other Islands, and WOW was it amazing!
I have never seen water like this in my life!
The boat we were on! Anchored in for lunch on the beach
Our view while having lunch
Mic met a new friend! Don't show Vera!!!
We went snorkeling |
This water is amazing!
And we snorkeled with turtles!!!!!!!
Yes we were that close!
It was amazing!!!!
On the way back we stopped at this little Island! All that is on it is this umbrella, I guess its a famous place for weddings! Out in the middle of the ocean! So cool!
We snorkeled around for a bit!
Then finished our day making dinner at the hotel!
We spend our last day or half day on the beach!
I enjoyed the View while Mic read in the shade
The beach is behind us but you cant see it. Last picture on the beach for awhile!
I love ours tickets, they said Smith x2 :) Thats us!!!!
Thats Grenada! Only 20 min away!
Home sweet home!
What a wonderful mini vacation and 1st Anniversary <3
